Olaf Schmetzer took over the management of MEDEA Real Estate GmbH in April 2015. Prior to that, he was a partner at Ernst & Young Real Estate GmbH for over 15 years. Responsible for real estate and project development consulting in GSA, Olaf Schmetzer oversaw numerous transactions in the commercial, hotel, and residential real estate sectors, as well as advisory mandates for industrial and real estate companies in the asset management field. Before that, he was a board member of a project development company.
Our Middle East office, based in Doha, Qatar, was established in June 2024 to strengthen our ties with our Middle Eastern clients, whom we have served as investment managers for their property interests in Germany since 2017.

Miro Vorbauer is the founder and partner of Medea Real Estate GmbH and Executive Director of Medea Real Estate SPC LLC in Doha, Qatar. With more than 25 years of experience in the real estate industry, including development and transaction management of volumes exceeding 1 billion euros, Miro Vorbauer has also served as managing director of a joint venture company of a fund managed by JP Morgan Real Estate Asset Management.

Elena Arapitsa, Regional Manager of our Qatari company MEDEA Real Estate SPC LLC, is a Greek and German national with over 15 years of experience in construction and office management. Having lived in Germany, the Middle East, and South America, Elena brings a wealth of international expertise and a deep understanding of diverse markets. She is fluent in German, Greek, and English, ensuring seamless communication across our global operations.
